Simone is actively engaged in performing, researching, writing, and exploring the boundaries of music, particularly contemporary flute music. She also enthusiastically invests her energy to educate others through music, and provide alternative music learning pathways.
Simone’s musical journey began at age five when she started learning piano alongside her siblings. At age 10, she also started flute lessons, and took up the violin two years later. For her tertiary training, Simone prioritised flute playing and continued her piano playing by accompanying other musicians. Simone completed her Bachelor of Music with Honours in Advanced Flute Performance at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music (Brisbane, Australia), her MPhil in Music Studies (Performance Studies) at the University of Cambridge (Cambridge, United Kingdom), and is currently a PhD in Music Performance student at the University of Melbourne (Melbourne, Australia).
